My name is Nina Medellin

I am a former biologist, specialized in environmental management and diagnostics with a master degree in ecology and fisheries. Biology has been a fundamental part of my life since I was a little girl, born and raised in Veracruz Mexico. Raised by parents who love nature, camping, scuba diving, and other outdoor activities.

I started drawing horses as a young girl (you know, a very common obsession in young girls). Then I started painting with my mom when I was in my teens. As time went by, I started moving forward from horses to other animals like tigers, lions, sharks. Because it was my biologist self calling.

I explored different techniques such as oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, oil pastels, sanguine and charcoal. But also experimented with wood burning and photography, for which I found a big passion.

After photography was introduced to me by my father, I found that I could turn any photo or any drawing into a digital version of it. And that’s how I discovered my passion for graphic design.

This is the short version of my journey as a creative…
